1) About us

DJ SWTZ (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides DJ services and related performance services. We are based in Birmingham, UK.

2) Website use

The website content is provided for general information. We may update content at any time. You agree not to misuse the website (including attempting to disrupt its security or functionality).

3) Enquiries, quotes & bookings

• Enquiry: Submit a booking enquiry via the website form or email.
• Quote: We’ll confirm availability and provide a quote (and any optional add-ons).
• Booking confirmed: A booking is only secured once you have written confirmation from us and any required deposit is paid.

Availability is not guaranteed until the booking is confirmed in writing. We may receive multiple enquiries for the same date.

4) Fees, deposit & payment

• Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30 % is required to secure your date. The deposit is payable within 48 hours of booking confirmation. If the deposit is not received within this time, we reserve the right to release the date. .
• Balance: The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event. For bookings made within 7 days of the event, full payment is required at the time of booking.
• Late payments: If payment is not received by the due date, we may treat the booking as cancelled and re-open the date.
• Payment method: bank transfer / PayPal.

5) Changes to booking details

You can request changes to event details (times, venue, brief) by emailing book@djswtz.com. We’ll do our best to accommodate changes, but this may affect pricing, logistics, or availability.

6) Cancellation policy

Cancellation must be made in writing by email. Suggested structure:

• More than 14 days before event: deposit retained, no further fees due.
• 7–14 days before event: 50% of total fee due.
• Within 7 days of event: 100% of total fee due (as the date is unlikely to be rebooked).

If we are able to rebook the date for an equivalent fee after you cancel, we may (at our discretion) reduce the cancellation charge. This is not guaranteed.

7) Travel, setup & access

• Travel: The booking fee includes travel within a 15-mile radius of our base location. Travel beyond this radius may be charged at £0.45 per mile (round trip).
• Additional costs: Parking fees, tolls, congestion charges, or other venue-related travel costs are not included unless stated otherwise and may be added to the final invoice.
• Setup time: You agree to provide access for setup and soundcheck at least 60 minutes before the agreed performance start time.
• Safe access: You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the performance area, including lifts where required, and to avoid unsafe carrying routes.

8) Equipment, power & technical requirements

Unless agreed otherwise, you/your venue are responsible for providing:

• A safe, stable performance area (table/booth space suitable for DJ equipment)
• Reliable power supply close to the performance area
• Venue sound system access (or confirming whether you require us to supply sound)
• Any required licences (see “Licensing” below)

If we supply equipment, you agree to take reasonable care of it and ensure guests do not interfere with it. Damage caused by guests/venue conditions may be charged to you.

9) Performance, music brief & conduct

• Music brief: We work from your preferences and the vibe of the room. We can’t guarantee every specific track, but we can honour key requests and “do not play” lists where possible.
• Safety & respect: Abusive behaviour toward us or our team is not tolerated. If behaviour puts safety at risk, we may stop performance and the fee remains payable.
• Volume: We must comply with venue sound limits and local regulations.

10) Recordings, photos & content

Unless you opt out in writing before the event, you grant permission for us to capture and use limited photos/short clips for portfolio/social media purposes (never in a way that’s intrusive or disrespectful).

• If your event is private or you require no content capture, email us in advance.
• Where other suppliers/guests record, we are not responsible for their content.

11) Third-party platforms & embeds

We may link to or embed content from Mixcloud, YouTube, Spotify, and other platforms. Those platforms have their own terms and policies. We’re not responsible for third-party websites or services.

12) Licensing

Venues/events may require music licences (for example, PRS/PPL where applicable). Unless agreed otherwise, it is the client/venue’s responsibility to ensure appropriate licences are in place.

13) Limitation of liability

We will not be liable for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for claims related to a booking will not exceed the fees paid for that booking, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

14) Force majeure

We are not responsible for failure to perform due to events outside our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, major travel disruption, venue closure, power failure, illness/injury, or emergencies). Where possible, we will attempt to reschedule or offer a suitable alternative.

15) Privacy

Personal data provided during enquiries and bookings is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

16) Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
